It was special to hear Shane, Carmen, Lara and Al speak of their father, each bringing out good aspects of their father’s life, activity and character. You often learn about people in the story telling at a funeral or memorial. |

Meet USA Guest Matt Murray at the 25th ASRF Nationals

A highlight for the ASRF Street Rod Nationals committee has been confirmation of an International guest. Matt Murray from Iron Trap Garage is looking forward to attending the Nationals. Matt is a traditional hot rod builder from Pensylvania USA and his popular YouTube channel is centered around digging old cars, trucks, and motorcycles out of America’s Northeast with tips and tricks for restoring, hot rodding and customizing. |

Steering is a critical element of vehicle building that needs to be done to sound engineering practice if you want a safe project car. Let’s look at some of the key elements: • Steering should take a priority at the start of building a hot rod. It is unwise to leave to a later stage of the project with the engine and exhaust already in place. |

Vale - Ian Chinn

3 April 1951 – 11 August 2022 Mountain District Rodders Melbourne would like to acknowledge the passing of our good friend and long-term member, Ian Chinn or “Chinny” as he was affectionately known to us all. Unfortunately, Chinny passed away unexpectedly and leaves behind his wife Jenny, sons Stuart and Haydn, daughter Rylea and nine grandchildren. |

ASRF Appoints Operations Manager

Over the past nine months, the ASRF has been working on some major restructuring within the business. These include overhauling the ASRF from an association structure to a company limited guarantee, this has also meant that the constitution had to reflect these requirements. It’s been a long process with some great input from legal professionals to ensure that all due diligence was taken. |
