The ASRF QLD has negotiated the construction of an ASRF Memorial Wall at Willowbank Raceway, Queensland’s major drag racing and motorsport facility, near Ipswich.

The 6 meter wall is in a tranquil area where it can be viewed and appreciated by track visitors during opening times. A permanently affixed ’32 Ford grille will signify the connection to hot rodding and ASRF-affiliated clubs in Queensland are invited to nominate and contribute towards engraved plaques for past members they’d like to see added to the memorial.

The first memorial run and official unveiling has been scheduled for Sunday, August 18 (not August 11 as previously advertised). Participants are invited to assemble at Yamanto Shopping Centre from 9am for 9.30 departure, and a ceremony at 10am.

Nominations from ASRF-affiliated clubs are open now, by emailing the Queensland State Director with the past member’s name, club and membership number if known. The cost is $75 per plaque, including engraving and installation.
