ASRF 2016 Sandgroper Street Rod Nationals
March 25th – 28th, 2016
In 2016 the ASRF Street Rod Nationals returned to the coastal town of Busselton in south west WA. The town boasts clean calm beaches, an iconic long jetty and it is only a few kilometres from the well known Margaret River wine and tourism district.
Entry to the Nationals was available to all ASRF members, with fees paid up to the time of the event (with or without a car). Vehicle entry is limited to registered ASRF class vehicles only.
Most meals and special activities were included in the entry fee to make the booking process very easy.
The event was again centred in the Churchill Park trotting complex.
This is on Adelaide Street about a kilometre from Busselton’s main (Queen) Street.
Busselton is an extremely popular tourist location at Easter. The committee very highly recommended that you book your accommodation now, to avoid sleeping under a tree.
Many rodders wanted onsite camping in 2010. We had onsite camping in 2016! All used the entry form to book into the camper’s Hilton. Early bird camping was available from 12:00 midday on Thursday 24th March.
The Geographe Bay Tourism association can help with accommodation bookings. They have a much larger database than the other online booking websites. Their details are below. Give them a crack online or by phone. They are efficient.

LPG Members with dedicated LPG need to be aware that the LPG infrastraucture in central and far rural WA was found to be in neglect be rodders who drove to the Tasmanian nationals. This may have been a phase and now improved…just saying, be aware. If your LPG vehicle is being transported to the west coast, you will have no problems with LPG around the coast from Esperance to Geraldton.
We recognise the support of our early sponsors. Thank you.
